H.J. Development Acquires 8.87-Acres of Land in Baxter, MN

Wayzata, Minnesota, January 4, 2017 - HJ Development is pleased to announce it has acquired 8.87-acres of land in Baxter, MN located between the already built JC Penney and Costco stores on which it will construct a retail power center in 2017.

 

DICK'S Sporting Goods, TJ Maxx, ULTA Beauty and PetSmart have signed leases for the 90,000 square foot project.  HJ Development plans to break ground in the second half of January and will be complete with the building this fall.  TJ Maxx, ULTA Beauty and PetSmart plan to open in the fall of 2017 and DICK'S Sporting Goods plans to open in the spring of 2018. 

 

HJ Development is also planning to construct a 7,000 square foot retail strip center on a nearby parcel in the southeast corner of Highway 371 and Glory Road just south of the larger 90,000 square foot building mentioned above.  Construction on that building is planned to start in the spring of 2017.
