The Meadow Creek Plaza in Anoka is getting a major facelift. Owner H.J. Development has begun demolition work on part of the strip mall and will replace that section with a new, 17,500 square foot building to accommodate Mansetti's Pizza & Pasta Restaurant and a Walgreen's pharmacy.


Located at the southwest corner of Round Lake Boulevard and Bunker Lake Boulevard, Meadow Creek Plaza spans three buildings in all. Demolition began Dec. 4, according to H.J. Development. Walgreen's, which is being represented by MN Property Investments, LLC will break ground on the new building in Spring 2008.


Additional tenants of Meadow Creek Plaza include Blue Fin Pool & Spa, Fantasdtic Sam's, Subway, Kam Wong's Chow Mein, Caribou Coffee, Title One, Heil Chiropractic, Simonson's Salon & Day Spa, Q Nails, Metro Dentalcare, Once Upon A Child and USA Karate.


H.J. Development says only one vacancy of 960 square feet remains. the firm, founded in 1983, has partners including Jerry Hertel, Gary Janisch and Jeff Carriveau. It's a full service company specializing in retail development, management and investments and owns retail property throughout the Twin Cities.
