Chris is a Principal and Owner of HJ Development.  Chris has been instrumental in contributing to the company's overall growth since joining the firm in 2006.  Chris oversees all portfolio leasing activity and also sources and executes development projects on behalf of HJ Development and third parties.

Chris's proactive approach and ability to anticipate client needs results in Chris completing numerous lease, sale and build-to-suit transactions on a consistent basis. During his tenure with the company Chris has worked with a number of both local and national companies, creating long-lasting relationships that continue to benefit HJ Development.

Prior to joining HJ Development, Chris worked for Grubb & Ellis|Northco Real Estate Services, representing landlords and tenants in the Minneapolis/St. Paul market. Chris is a Cum Laude graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire where he studied economics.

Chris maintains an active role in the real estate community and is a member of numerous industry organizations. Chris is a past President of the MN/Dakota's CCIM chapter. He is also a member of the Minnesota Commercial Association of Realtors (MNCAR), International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and Minnesota Shopping Center Association (MSCA).

Chris resides in Orono, Minnesota with his wife Ashley, their children, Finley and Austin, and Labrador Retriever Tessa. Outside of the office Chris enjoys participating in various outdoor activities including running, fishing, hunting and golfing.
