As President of HJ Development, Jeff Carriveau takes the strategic and operational lead in managing the company's portfolio to bring about profitable growth and foster long-term ownership relationships.

As executive decision maker, Jeff leads the company's efforts in all strategic acquisitions and development. He creates and implements company policy, is responsible for employee management and recruitment, and handles all corporate negotiations.

HJ Development serves the commercial real estate, development and property management needs of clients throughout the Minneapolis/St. Paul market and surrounding areas. The company's portfolio is currently in excess of 1,600,000 square feet and Jeff maintains an ownership interest in all properties. HJ Development is known for its superior retail locations, excellence in the leasing & management field and providing strategic retail opportunities to investors.

Jeff joined HJ Development in 2002 as a Senior Leasing Associate. He quickly worked his way to an Officer in 2006, as well as adding Developer to his list of accomplishments. His leadership and vision for the company made him a natural choice to become Pesident in 2012.

Jeff has been an active member of the commercial real estate community for over 20-years. His career began in 1995 at United Properties, where he was responsible for leasing and sales with an annual brokerage revenue of $1.25 million. He managed acquisitions and dispositions, representing industrial clients such as Toro, NordicTrack, Seagate, North American Hunting Club and Payless Cashways Knox Lumber.

Jeff maintains an active role in the real estate community, serving many organizations through membership, corporate sponsorship and event participation. Affiliates include the Minnesota Commercial Association of Realtors (MNCAR), International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), Certified Commercial Investment Members (CCIM) and Minnesota Shopping Center Association (MSCA).

Jeff also volunteers on the Finance Council of St. Peter's Catholic Church and is active in the Delano community where he resides. In addition, Jeff serves as a mentor to HJ Development employees and future industry leaders.

Jeff resides in Delano, Minnesota. Outside of the office Jeff enjoys spending time with his wife Emily and their three boys, participating in a variety of outdoor activities such as swimming, soccer, baseball and Boy Scouts.
